Highschool of the Dead is best when it just rides the gore and oppai wave and not mess with getting too dramatic. Unfortunately, we were light on the oppai and almost totally missing on the zombie gore.
I’ve been watching a lot of Monster lately. Going from that to Highschool of the Dead is like listening to Beethoven then switching over to Spinal Tap. These amps go to 11.
HOTD is due some credit. I thought Strike Witches took fanservice to unique new levels, but HOTD has upped that bar. It’s taken fanservice to new levels that even straight raunch hentai doesn’t. If you’re still watching the show at this point, you’ve got to love it.
Plenty of action, an awesome insert song, and an even better insert/ED, censored nudity all over the place, jiggle physics maxed out to 11, the introduction of a loli, a pee scene for the fetishists… yep, quite a bit going on in this episode. This is for all the Saeko fans who voted for her [...]
Plot? We don’t need no stinkin’ plot! Although to be fair, you can only have so many episodes that feature our feisty gang running from and fighting zombies. You’ve got to mix it up. So a naked romp in the bath makes perfect sense when you keep that in mind.
Best episode of the season so far? Nah, probably not. But I thought the zombie fight on the bridge was beautifully choreographed. I still have stars in my eyes from it.
I didn’t mind the recap per se, it only took up about 1/3 of the episode… but we are only in episode 4. Now we’re on pace to have a full episode of recap… in which case they should’ve just went with a 12 episode season (assuming this is 13 episodes). Zombie kittehs enjoy noming [...]
