bakuman-7

Bakuman is back for a second coeur, with a better ED, but pretty much the same, embarrassingly, terrible OP.

I admit I don’t know much about Touhou or the Touhou look, but I’ve seen several comments comparing Merry’s look to the Touhou look… in which case I have to say I really dig the Touhou look.

After last episode, there were two glaring questions. First off, what was a servant? Second of all, who exactly was Kuze a servant for? Rather then dragging it out, this episode answered these questions for us.

Ah, the foreshadowing. Kanade was complaining about how awful it would be if her sister was found by a vampire, and then she was! Not that anything bad happened to her, rather it was all a warm fuzzies ending to this episode, as this show tends to have.

If the last couple episodes were pretty good, this episode made me want to throw things at my screen. This was the episode where Miho x Mashiro went from boring and annoying to, I hope they both fail their dreams and live miserably ever after.

Bakuman has settled into a nice, little groove. It’s not quite the can’t miss hit, I was expecting, but this was the latest in the string of solid episodes.

The real Shujin-Kaya relationship is a lot more interesting than the make believe Mashiro-Miho non-relationship. Of course, that’s not saying that much either.

Once we get past the boring and slightly depressing Mashiro mope-fest and the crappy support from his mute future lover, the episode ends pretty nicely with Takagi’s love triangle coming to a head. Wait. What love triangle? Yep, you got that right.
