Fall 2009
Well, the fall season is indeed living up to the fairly low expectations I had for it. Besides Armed Librarians, the only other show I’m hoping to check out is Trapeze. Maybe I’ll also check out Fairy Tail if the initial buzz is good. Armed Librarian – stacked and loaded!
Aroduc wasn’t kidding when he said the power of the Persona force was strong in 11eyes. It was the first thought that popped into my head when Kakeru’s sister summoned that persona in the first scene. This one is only interested in espers… and maybe aliens, but only during deredere moments.
So what is a shoujo show? Is it a guy singing the OP? Is it a girl being the lead? Is it the lack of any semblance of a harem? Is it featuring a guy who’s cool and competent, but sensitive and vulnerable? Is it flowers and pastels? If so, I guess Kimi ni Todoke’s [...]
After reading so many posts about how unbearably moe Kobato was (for better or for worse), I was actually surprised to find that Kobato’s actually a slut who’ll follow any number of guys like a dog chasing its tail, enjoys getting ravaged by ravenous animals, has a fetish for trash, and whores herself out on-stage [...]
I thought Letter Bee was one of the more intriguing shows of the season, and the first episode did nothing to dispel that thought. I really hate it when people stick other people in my mailbox
What if you mixed elements of Air, To Love-ru and Chobits? You might get something like Sora no Otoshimono, although I still can’t tell if it’s a good thing or a bad thing. I picked this bit of fanservice, because it was a lot better than the naked dude running around
Yes, there is such a thing as too much meta-humor. But I eagerly await the day that some studio, so bereft of ideas, decides to make an anime adaptation of lolikitsune’s visual novel about anibloggers. This was much better done in the latest Higurashi OVA
My anticipation level for this show has been steadily increasing until it hit fever pitch yesterday. I have only one word to describe this show: Nyantastic! This is the most realistic anime depictions of cats ever… because in reality, they’re devils.
One of my expected B-grade shows of the season, The Sacred Blacksmith pretty much delivered what I thought I’d see: nice character art, some ok action, and a dodgy story. Cecily needs more practice with her swordwork and her tsundere mode
