TP is just refusing to have fun. The fact that no-one is likely to learn guitar that fast is a very weak argument against a comedy like this one. Sure, it’s being overhyped — but only by people who are having such a good time that they can’t help themselves. This isn’t a college course, it’s entertainment.

I felt a bit let down by ep3, and thought the show might be stalling. But certain things in this episode — some of the Mio moe, I admit, as well as Yui and the fireworks, and even Yui being an idiot savant — brought me back into its corner. Not in the first rank of this season’s shows for me, but close.

However, a blogger who is actually learning how to play the guitar have voiced his disbelief concerning that Yui, out of 3 months’ involvement in the light music club, can learn better skills than he does. I take his word, so yes, this anime is concernedly getting overhyped.
