So within a three week period, Nagato goes from quiet, unassuming bookworm to a full-fledged eroge and game-addicted otaku. When Mikuru was trying to tell Kyon about Nagato, I thought it was the perfect time to pull out her classic “Kinsoku jiko desu” line. Instead they went with a disappointing and rather plain “I can’t tell you.” That in essence is the problem with Haruhi-chan – its punchlines fall just a few feet short of the finish line. It’s not the worst way to spend 3 or 4 minutes of your time, but you’re probably not going to be scrambling to watch it the second it comes out.

The second skit was somewhat funnier. Ryoko reincarnates herself as Ryoko Achakura, not to be confused with the other chibi Ryoko ASAHAKURA. This chibi Ryoko isn’t battling against Churuya for hearts. Instead she becomes Nagato’s little pet and gag target. Amusing enough…
