The one thing the anime hasn't done too well is shine the light on Kanako's struggle with liking Junpei, despite knowing that he actually likes Kaede. I think the part here was the first time they spent any time on it. Now to be fair, the manga hasn't really developed it much either (needy cats are always getting in the way!), but without that element, Kanako just seems like a hotheaded cockblocker. If you’re going for the fanservice gusto, you might as well go all the way!

Especially the random Chizuru inserts and Kotone's reactions. I almost couldn't believe they did the honey toast thing! Second half was even better for other reasons. I've never been much of a fan of Kanako until this episode when they really gave her a chance to be an actual character instead of just someone who's always trying to block Junpei from Mizuno. Why'd she stop with the kiss, or at least divert to a forehead kiss or something?
