I ended up watched episode 11 and 12 in one go as episode 11 was freaking intense. After that episode 12 was such a messy attempt to patch every thing up that I think it was an anime original ending. Basically, it made no sense. But uh, the two love birds are together. That’s all that matters, right?
Ah. The beach episode. Fortune Arterial’s strength shows again here, which is take any cliché it’s handed and executes it surprisingly well. In this one, the gang decides to go to the beach to swim, and to see the fireworks. There the whole situation with Erika’s bloodlust starts to reach a boiling point.
After last episode, there were two glaring questions. First off, what was a servant? Second of all, who exactly was Kuze a servant for? Rather then dragging it out, this episode answered these questions for us.
Ah, the foreshadowing. Kanade was complaining about how awful it would be if her sister was found by a vampire, and then she was! Not that anything bad happened to her, rather it was all a warm fuzzies ending to this episode, as this show tends to have.
This episode was mainly building Erika’s and Kouhei’s relationship, as it turns out to be Erika’s birthday. I do really like that instead of there being a bunch of girls and no focus, there is an actual romantic focus here.
Oh man, school has just been hitting hard. After this week it should be better, but it’s been crazy. At this point, we’re up to episode six in Fortune Arterial.
I have no idea in what format Fortune Arterial is adapting the anime from the Visual Novel. I’m guessing it’s mostly focusing on Erika’s route with a little bit of everyone else’s route thrown in, but I’m not entirely sure. It’s hard without knowing the plot of the visual novel. If someone wants to verify this, I’d be a great help.
Talking things over with good ole’ RP, I’m going to check out three anime, and then choose one to blog. One of them was Psychic Detective Yakumo. The second choice should hopefully surprise a lot of people, as no one gave this much notice.
It seems season preview posts are happening earlier and earlier these days. By the time the actual season rolls around, it’s like you gotta root through ancient history to remember what was what. Meanwhile, I’ve been doing the previews later and later. It’s at the cost of comments, but it seems to make sense to me. Sort of like how I don’t care about football season until baseball season is over, it’s hard for me to get psyched about the next season when we’re running right into the climax of the current season. So I’m bringing up the rear.
