My only goal for my summer preview was to do a better job than I did with the winter preview, in which I skipped mention of certain shows that I ended up watching anyway, clearly showing my lack of prophetic skills. Thankfully I set the bar pretty low then. If you have any thoughts for further improvement in the inevitable fall preview, feel free to drop a comment.

| | Umineko no naku Koro ni Summary:
Umineko no Naku Koro ni takes place in the year 1986, during the time frame of October 4 and October 5 on a secluded island named Rokkenjima. The head of a wealthy family named Kinzo Ushiromiya, who lives on and owns Rokkenjima, is near death, and eight of his family members arrive on the island to discuss how Kinzo's assets will be divided once he is dead. Also on the island are three family members who live there, five of Kinzo's servants, and his personal physician. After the eight family members arrive, a typhoon traps them on the island and shortly after people start to get mysteriously murdered. Thoughts:
The spiritual successor for Higurashi, how could I possibly say no? Especially since the universes are apparently connected in some way. Plus, with some of my favorite seiyuus (Daisuke Ono, Marina Inoue, Ami Koshimizu, Rie Kugimiya and Yui Horie playing another loli with a cute catch phrase) on the hook, this is a no brainer. |

Fall 2009 First Impressions: Seitokai no Ichizon
Yes, there is such a thing as too much meta-humor. But I eagerly await the day that some studio, so bereft of ideas, decides to make an anime adaptation of lolikitsune's visual novel about anibloggers.
