CCY has thrown down his Twelve Moments of Anime gauntlet, inviting others to join him everyday until Christmas in recalling their 12 favorite anime-related things of the year. Moment #10 is a beauty. I thought Sora no Otoshimono was going to be a stupid show. After the first episode, I was like:
And then I saw the epic second episode, and I was like:
Sohara’s pantsu keep blasting off into outer space, because Tomoki didn’t like her dog-print pantsu? Brilliant!
And to top that off? Pantsu traveling at mach 5 speeds! Very easily, one of the greatest ecchi comedy bits I’ve ever seen. Sora no Otoshimono is a stupid show. But it’s brilliant! Damn brilliant!

I knew I couldn’t join in with my own 12 moments (I’d miss too many days to make it worthwhile) but so far all three of your picks would be my ones I’d pick as well. It’s a shame that many people won’t watch Sora no Otoshimono because it’s an ecchi comedy; they’re missing out on probably the most brilliant new series of the fall season.
Yeah, people are missing out. I’m definitely glad I gave it a chance past that first episode, because it’s been the surprise of the season for me.

I don’t know if I should feel ashamed or something. I’ve heard great stories about this series, but I’ve YET to even pick up the first episode. orz
