I also think that the family probably thinks of Maria as odd, but the way she acted in episode 1 and the way she acts as Beatrice is so different, I'm surprised that George, Battler or Jennifer haven't picked up on it, considering they spent the most time with her in episode 1. Then again, I suppose they have much heavier things on their mind. Is it coincidence that Beatrice offs their parents? Yeah I thought so as well, which was why it seemed a bit odd that they left the scene with Battler’s accusation.

As for no one commenting on Maria's odd behavior, they do know that she's heavily into the occult, so maybe they're thinking she's just getting into it too much.
